I. GOD SEES MAN
a. Wicked hearts and minds in healthy bodies are a fatal combination.
b. When people embrace the occult they are very near, if not past, the point of no return.
c. Righteous people stand out like sore thumbs in such times.
II. GOD WARNS MAN
a. Warnings are wonderful if they come at the right time and in the right tone.
b. We are accountable for all the warnings that we ignore.
III. GOD PROVIDES A WAY OF SAFE ESCAPE FROM THE JUDGMENTS TO COME.
a. The ark is a type of Christ. A type is a divinely planned prophetic illustration. So the ark points forward to Christ.
b. Christ is our refuge from the judgment to come.
1. There was one and only one ark.
2. The ark was an all sufficient refuge: pitched within and without (6:14). Pitch is the same word as atonement.
3. The ark is the all sufficient refuge for us: Colossians 2:11-15.
IV. HOW SHALL WE GET PEOPLE INTO THE ARK OF SAFETY?
a. Faith
b. Obedience
c. The Gospel
