¿Qué Creen los Testigos de Jehová?

La secta se fundó en 1872 por Charles Taze Russell, antes un Adventista, que no le gustó la idea del castigo eterno. Por más de 100 años los Testigos de Jehová han anunciado la venida de Cristo y el fin del mundo. Específicamente profetizaron que vendría él con Armagedón en 1914, y cuando no vino, cambiaron la fecha a 1917, entonces a 1925, luego a 1975 y ahora, en forma más suave: "dentro de meses o en pocos años". Quedan condenados como profetas falsos (Dt. 18:20-22).

Enseñan que Cristo es un ser creado y un dios, pero no el Todopoderoso, y por eso no existe la Trinidad. Solo 144,000 llegarán al cielo, y por obras. (Otros vivirán en el Paraíso en la tierra para siempre.) Los muertos cesan de existir, entonces no hay infierno.
