How May We Cure Distractions In Holy Duties?

Corporate worship is meant to honour God as we praise him in song, prayer, communion, giving, fellowship, and by the preaching of his eternal word (Ephesians 5:19; Acts 2:42). As simple as it may seem, because of its iteracy, our weekly church services are always in danger of becoming perfunctory. Thomas Brooks said, “The little wedge knocked in makes way for the greater,” and the ‘little wedge’ which begins us down the road to hollow lip-serving worship is the distracting thought.
