Fragile Holiness: Summation of the Cleanliness Laws in Leviticus

Holiness is fragile for the human. We are not born in holiness and we do not easily maintain holiness. The Hebrew was reminded of the fragility of cleanliness and holiness by the holiness code of Leviticus. They knew that contact with uncleanness would 'break' their cleanliness and render them unclean.

Of course there was a notable exception. Holiness was not fragile for Jesus - in fact, no amount of contact with sin or uncleanliness could break Jesus holiness - but in every case we see that the uncleanness retreats with Jesus touch. This sermon unpacks how and why Jesus was able to take the effects of the curse away - and ultimately how he deals with our uncleanness on the cross.
