The Unkillable Gospel
Series Series in Acts
Aim: To boldly live and proclaim Jesus' unkillable gospel.
Doctrine: Nothing about the risen King Jesus can ever die or become ''extinct.'' This includes His person, His gospel, His church, and all the souls of His redeemed saints.
Exegesis: How the unkillable gospel triumphs over all its foes: by rising from (apparent) death (vv. 19-20); by courageously holding captured ground (vv. 21-22); by equipping the church (despite fierce opposition) (v. 23).
Further application: How the faithful church is to preach and live the unkillable gospel: with power from on high, and with confidence in Christ alone.
Key verses: vv. 19c-20a ''...they stoned Paul and dragged him out of the city, supposing him to be dead. However, when the disciples gathered around him, he rose up and went into the city.''
