The Kingdom Will Come

The disciples wanted Jesus to set up his kingdom on earth then and there. After all Jesus had proved that He was the Messiah through His teachings and His miracles and He stood before them as one that defeated death, surely now it was the time to display His glory and rule the nation.

The disciples misunderstood the timing of the future kingdom with Jesus as ruler.

Can I say that there is a future kingdom to come, a kingdom where Jesus will rule and reign for ever.

There is a time coming when Jesus will reign over the house of Jacob and over this world. The Apostle Paul wrote about a time where every person will bow before Jesus. Until that time every Christian needs to be a witness.
