Signs of Recovery

Adam gave good indication that he believed and understood God's promise of the ultimate recovery of life by naming his wife Eve. Adam also displayed a prophetic gift in this name. In response to this faith, God covered the nakedness of Adam and Eve, thus showing His gracious care in removing their shame. God further encouraged Adam and Eve by locating His mercy seat/throne just inside Paradise as a remembrance in worship, and shielded them from any misplaced hope in returning to Paradise in order to find life in the tree (because life was only to be hoped for in the seed of the woman).
