The Redemption

Redemption = to release by paying a ransom. To deliver for a payment of a price

To understand God's work in redemption, we need to consider:

1. Remember were we come from - Slavery without Christ
   a. Rom 6:16-18
   b. Titus 3:3
   c. 1 Peter 1:14
   d. Are you resting in the redemption you have in Christ?
   i. Rom 12:1 - conform your minds to the Word of God
   e. Our former condition were futile (empty) 1 Peter 4:3. Our life was consumed with all kinds of things but never with the True God.

2. Remember what God has done for us
   a. Knowing continually in our minds
   b. Psalm 49:7-8
   c. The wages of things are death, Only God can redeem your from death.
   d. It was God who,laid all His children's inequities of all times on the son
   e. God's Holy justice demands sin to be punished
   f. Hebrews 10:1-10
   g. 2 Cor 5:21 - Jesus is our substitute - substitutionary atonement
   h. If you keep trying to stand in your own righteousness, you will miss this great redemption. It cost God His life.
   i. Christ is the central point of all redemption
