Christ in the Old Testament Pt 5

610

This final message in our 5 part series on Christ in the Old Testament is rich with what may be to you entirely new, fresh thoughts of God. We take a closer look at His Person. His humanity. Seeing how he bore the stigma of one being an illegitimate child in that humanity. His deity. Prophesied in the O.T. manifested in the New. The Death of Christ is foretold in 29 specific prophecies, all fulfilled in the N.T. These, out of the 300 concerning the whole scope of His life, death, resurrection and ascension back into Heaven. This message is a great wrap up, pulling together all the wonderful studies we have had together in this series.

In John 5:39 Jesus said, "...search the Scriptures... these are they which testify of Me.

Our Lord's words are underscored in the N.T. as the writer to the Hebrews speaks of Jesus Christ. Heb 10:7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come; In the volume of the book it is written of Me; To do Your will, O God.'” Do you you know where that is found in the O.T? Psalm 40:7.

The value of this study could not be manifested better than to see how Paul the Apostle ministered with the only Bible he had, which was the O.T. scriptures. Acts 17:2-3 Then Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from the Scriptures explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.”

We highly encourage you to invite a friend, or a home group of friends, to listen with you. May you be abundantly blessed.
