HELL--No Joke!

For many people, hell is a big joke! Most think that hell will be a place where they will be surrounded by their friendss, enjoying all the vices of life, having one big party! But Jesus paints a different portrait of hell. For those who refuse to trust in Christ for salvation, hell will be an eternal place of torment. A place where their cravings and needs will go unmet. A place of isolation and separation. While heaven is the place for family reunions, hell will be solitary confinement in total darkness. And there is no way out, no bridge from hell to heaven. But how can a loving God torment someone in hell forever? More importantly, how could a loving God stand by and watch His Son, Jesus Christ endure hell as He hung on the cross to pay for mankind's sins? It was because God the Father knew that it was the only way for you and I to ever experience heaven. God so loved us that He has provided a bridge, not from hell to heaven, but from earth to heaven. God has provided a way so that no one needs to experience hell. But He does not force it upon a man, but gives us a choice.
