Virtues Can't Grow In Isolation

As he unpacks this part of the practical section of the letter to the Colossians, our Pastor sets up a literal "square" boxing "ring" with a perimeter of chairs. He invites, or shall we say, conscripts role players in order to demonstrate that believers cannot show mercy, kindness, humility or longsuffering as long as they are in the ring alone. It is only the presence of at least one other person in the home, local church or business that gives us the opportunity to respond to the situations of life in virtuous ways.
