We Are Not of Those Who Shrink Back

After finishing his warning in verses 26-31, the writer reverses direction and admonishes them to recall events that give assurance that they are true believers. Some had suffered public reproach and tribulation. They accepted plunder of their goods, knowing how much greater is their ETERNAL rewards in possession in Heaven! They later had to be admonished for various issues -- only God is perfectly faithful. But we can imitate their faith displayed here.
