God Sovereign Over Heart Attacks, Strokes and DNR'S

God is Soverign over heart attacks and DNR's.

Medical technology has brought as much hurt as it has helped in our society.

My father head a heart attack last week and was worked on to get his heart back beating in the home and then for about two hours in the emergency room in the hospital and has been in ICU in the hospital for the last six days.

Just one week earlier my dad argued for about two hours requesting his doctor NOT to admit him to the hospital, so he was adament about not wanting to go to the hospital.

My family obviously did not honor his wishes and allowed the doctors to put him on life support systems for numerous days.

What is the answer to this? God does not honor unwise decisions; but he is still sovereign over them. God was still glorified in the hardening of Pharoah's heart.

Many use the doctrine of absoluted predestination of all things to justify stupid and ignorant decisions. Even though people make unwise choices, God is still sovereign over those unwise choices and his glory will be manifested. A good example is how people crucified the Christ of God, but it was still in the determinate council of God.
