There is no Symphony with the Ungodly
Series 2 Corinthians
35
The true Christian lives antithetically towards the world, does not live by the same values, does not share the same goals and aspirations, and cannot create the same 'music' or sing the same 'song'.
- A Biblical imperative: "Be not unequally yolked together with unbelievers."
- A Biblical interrogation: "What fellowship...what communion...what part...what agreement?"
- A Biblical affirmation: "I will receive you."
Applicaton 1 Christianity is not a form of monasticism. 2 Christians are to view themselves in terms of this antithesis. 3 Assurance of salvation: do we recognize ourselves as different from the world? 4 Christian separation is not a barren thing but wholly positive: we are separated to the privilege of being the children of God and recipients of the promises.
