Lot is a perfect illustration of what it means to be “lost in success.”
His character: Shallow
Selfish
Stubborn
His choices:
He chose the wrong stuff.
He asked the wrong questions.
He took matters into his own hands.
His consequences:
What did Lot's success cost him?
Lot, how did this affect you personally?(2 Peter 2:6-9)
Lot, how did this affect your family?
Lot, how did this affect Sodom?
His contrast:
Abraham chose the eternal over the temporal.

A righteous person can make a bad decision.
The grace of God gives us strength to go on, and grace says, “There is yet a future.”
