Completeness Through Giving

In these verses the apostle Paul urges the Corinthian to freely abound in the grace of liberality as a means of completing themselves as Christians. In doing so they will prove the sincerity of their love. Love is the crowing grace of a Christian and is demonstrated by concrete actions. Christ's own giving of himself is set forth as the model for us. The sermon draws from the Word of God here that the reat test or proof of any inward grace is not so much the way it appears to one's self, but the course of action it leads to.
