Don't Be Naive

Are you more naive or shrewd? Jesus said to be as shrewd as a serpent and innocent as a dove. Nehemiah was certainly shrewd. We learn much about shrewdness from Nehemiah's example. But is shrewdness enough? Or is there something more we need? Many naive people are paralyzed with fear and many shrewd people are paralyzed with paranoia and consumed with suspicion. In this passage we see that Nehemiah has something more than just shrewdness.
