We've not forgotten

This closing note on Saul seems a little out of place. He had been so mean and evil for so much of his reign and fought against David for no reason. But that's not what these men remembered about Saul. They remembered that Saul's first victory came when he rescued them. When someone does something for us we are glad but when they get off course what do we remember? Where they got off course or where they stood with us?
