Life's Aim in Light of Eternity

A Sensible Aim – in light of the destiny God has planned for the saint, pleasing Him in life is sensible

A Christ Like Aim – Jesus' entire life was dedicated to pleasing God

A Serious Aim – pleasing God involves pursuing holiness and promoting the kingdom and will involve hardship

An All Encompassing Aim – all of life and all we are and do ought to please God

A Satisfying Aim – Christians live for and are most satisfied with pleasing God

An Anticipatory Aim – pleasing Him here only anticipates the day when we shall please Him perfectly

A Realistic Aim – by grace we shall certainly please Him in this world and the next
