Amazing Grace

14

GRACE! We speak and sing about 'grace'. But what is grace? In the opening story of the unfair boss as told by Jesus we see the true of grace. From a human viewpoint, grace appears to be crazy. We believe that people should get what they deserve, what they have earned. But God, in His grace, gives us what we do not deserve. The grace of God is God's help in our time of need. And all of us are needy. We are in need of God's help in salvation for all of us were dead, dominated, depraved, damned sinners unable to save ourselves. BUT God had mercy upon us, sent His Son, our Savior, to die in our stead to provide for us forgiveness for our sins. It is by grace we've been saved through faith, and this not of ourselves. A gift, not the result of our works. We are saved by God's grace, sustained during times of suffering, and serve by God's grace. We are what we are by God's grace-- and God's grace alone. To experience God's grace, we must be willing to humble ourselves, ask Him for His help, and then receive the help he provides. For those of us who have not received God's grace, His grace is crazy. But for those of us who have, His grace is simply AMAZING.
