Colossians 3:20 - Marriage and Family: Role of the Children

After addressing the simple commands to be heeded in the marital relationship, Paul now turns to instructing the children and parents in the family.

Children are to obey their parents, in the Lord. For it is right, and in this children may be well-pleasing to the Lord. In contrast, disobedience to parents is an indication of a society that has turned away from God and deserves judgment.
