Behold the King in His Beauty

In Isaiah 33:1-24, we are shown 4 confirmations
surrounding Yahweh's exaltation.
I. A pronouncement against Assyria confirms their
destruction (v. 1).
II. A prayer from God's people confirms their
dependence.
A. A prayer of petition (v. 2).
B. A prayer of praise (vs. 3-6).
C. A prayer of lament (vs. 7-9).
III. A proclamation from Yahweh confirms His dealings.
A. with Assyria (vs. 10-12).
B. with His people (vs. 13-16).
IV. A promise from Yahweh confirms His people's
destiny.
A. In which they feast on the King's beauty while
meditating on their deliverance from what was
(vs. 17-19).
B. In which they live in the New Jerusalem.

1. which will not be moved (v. 20).
2. in which the Messiah will be present
   and for His people (vs. 21-22).

C. In which their sins will be forgiven through no
work of their own (vs. 23-24).
