For this morning's church service, Pastor Simpson spoke on the importance of prayer. How do we pray or how should we pray? The Pharisee prayed an self-serving and prideful prayer while the publican demonstrates the prayer of one that is justified and called. Like the publican, the elect acknowledge in humility that Christ paid it all and that it was none of his own will, strength, deeds or actions.
