Faith in the future

When Isaac blessed his boys he had confidence in those things he told them would truly come about. Our faith is not folly but real, just as his was. It is tangible; because it is God's sovereign word. Back in Genesis 27 we see the story; and in verse 33 Isaac declared a sure promise, “and he shall be blessed” about his son Jacob. And he promised Esau in verse 40 “that thou shalt”. both did receive their blessings. Both sought the blessings believing they would receive what was said. God has made promises for us as well. Promises that have come true already and some that are still to be fulfilled. But do we have faith in what lies ahead of us? Not what may happen but in what God can and will do if we trust Him and His word. Faith is based on God's word not ours. Do you believe in the future God has promised you?
