The Eternal Son
The Baptism of the Lord Jesus is the first big event of his manhood and the precursor to his three year ministry. He was commissioned to His work by the unique event when from heaven the Father announced His Sonship and the Holy Spirit came down upon Him. This was all part of equipping our Lord for His ministry on earth.
