The Delectable Mountains

Christian and Hopeful now arrive at the Delectable Mountains -- which is a picture of mature Christians under the ministry of a local church. From the Delectable Mountains, they can almost see the gates of the Celestial City, and they know their journey is getting close to the end -- BUT -- they aren't there yet. And, after their close call in Doubting Castle -- the shepherds give them serious warnings about deviation from the path.
