Where art thou?

We looked at the question posed by the Lord in Genesis 3. We saw how this was a catastrophic question to be asked. It was asked because of the rebellion and sin of Adam. We saw secondly that it was a condemning question. It is asked because the perfect Law of God had been violated. We saw thirdly, how it is a compassionate question. Judgement could have followed without delay or enquiry, yet God asks this question. Finally it is a question which has a corporate nature to it. Where are we? Where are we in relation to God?
