Luke the Physician Reporting

The first step in understanding the book of Acts is to understand the man who the Holy Spirit inspired to write it, Luke; the first recipient of the book, Theophilus; and the purpose stated for writing it.

To get at the purpose for the book of Acts, we need to begin with the Gospel of Luke, as it is volume 1 of a two volume set.

Luke tells Theophilus that he has written these things so that Theophilus might have certainty about what he has been taught.
