Believers know God's good purpose in affliction

66

Although the believer knows that God’s purpose in affliction is good, affliction is nevertheless bitter and so the believer seeks comfort.
We see:
1. The believer confesses God’s righteousness in afflictions (v. 75).
2. The believer seeks comfort in God’s kindness and mercy (vv. 73,76,77).
3. The believer will find comfort with the saints in contrast to the shame of the ungodly (vv. 74,78,79,80).
