TULIP - Total Depravity

Adam's sin made us all sinners by nature and man proves this true through his own acts of sin (Romans 5:12). The scriptures teach that man is "dead in trespasses and in sins" (Ephesians 2:1), It follows that if man is to be saved, it will be the result of a salvation that finds its beginning, end, and all points in-between in the love and mercy of God himself (Romans 5:19), not based on anything man does (Titus 3:5). And so salvation is of the Lord (Jonah 2:9).
