I. INTRODUCTION, BACKGROUND & REVIEW

1. Man's Total Depravity since the fall
2. No man since Adam is saved except by God's grace through faith

II. GOD'S GRIEF 6:1-7 (the Heart of God)

1. Man drawn away of own lust & enticed: Jas 1:14
2. Man's conceived lust unto sin: Jas 1:15
3. God is grieved unto repentance Ezek 33:11 WE MUST ALSO RECOGNIZE, Ezek 33:12-13
   a. True repentance is evidenced by corresponding action

III. GOD'S GRACE 6:8-13 (the Will of God)

1. Grace is & must be unconditional v8;
2. Grace produces fruit & begets life vv9-10; Titus 2:11-15,
3. Grace receives the revelation of God's truth by faith v13; Heb11:7

IV. GOD' GUIDELINES 6:14-22 (the Word of God)

1. Principles of truth in the Word vv14-16
2. Understanding of judgment from the Word v17
3. Security in hope of salvation in God through His Word v18
4. Honoring life, heeding God & preaching God's Word vv19-22; 2 Pet 2:5

Unfolding revelation as the truth is revealed in the work of faith… v17, Noah thinks, "a flood?"

How about the people? 2 Peter 3:3-7

V. GLEANING GRACE

1. Repentance must bring corresponding action in us.
2. Receiving grace fulfills grace, gives grace, & receives more grace
3. Rule of God, His holy Word, instructs, sustains, supplies, etc.
