The Gospel according to the Passover

Many people believe that the scriptures were compiled when several clever men sat down and made up a clever story which all tied together to form the Canon of Holy Scripture. But any reading or examination of the Word of God reveals to the believing mind the divine nature of the revelation. This is evident, not least, in the ordinance of the passover.
The intricate detail laid down in Exodus regarding the preparation and celebration of the feast, which was fulfilled on Calvary by our Saviour, gives a very clear picture of the work of redemption and salvation. We see the importance of a suitable sacrifice, the importance of a slain sacrifice, the importance of a substitutionary sacrifice and the importance of the sprinkled blood of sacrifice.
