The One Essential Thing

As the ultimate priority is worshiping God, the one essential thing needed for worship is the Word of God. The books of 1 and 2 Kings show us that if we do not have the Word of God, we will become idolaters, that is, we will look to something other than God for our sense of well-being. It is the Word of God that redirects our lives.
