Joy In Praying to Christ

In Pastor Andrew's third sermon thru the book of Philippians, he deals with the subject of prayer in 1:9-11. In 1:3-4 Paul prayed for the Philippians with joy every time he thought of them even though he was himself incarcerated for preaching the gospel. But in 1:9-11 he shows exactly what it was that he prayed regarding the Philippians. It's a prayer to Jesus that the Philippians grow spiritually in a life of love. The requests in this prayer serve as a model that all Christians should pray for themselves as well as and one another. In this sermon, Pastor Andrew unfolds the six requests that should mark our prayer lives. He follows the prayerful method of the Puritans called "pleading the promises" of Holy Scripture.
