The Law and the Church

The moral law of God does have a place in the New Testament Church. The Lord through His sacrifice on the cross paid the penalty of sin. This ended the need of the ceremonial law, which looked forward to the real sacrifice Christ would make. The moral law of the ten commandments, though, continues to have a purpose in the Lord's churches. It does not lead eternal life, but is a guide to the conscience and honors God when used lawfully.
