Is James Dobson a Fascist?

Chris Hedges' recent book 'American Fascism: The Religious Right and the War on America,' is more than an ad hominem attack. Books such as these indicate a growing disunity in American thought, politics, and life. While some of us are self-consciously returning to the ideological roots of this nation, others are cutting off the past and seeking a fully secular, socialist state. Kevin Swanson debunks the book in one fell swoop by simply defining fascism using Mussolini's own words (the original fascist), and then suggests that Mussolini's definition could be a pretty good paraphrase of the democratic national party platform.

The time is critical for ourselves and our children to understand worldviews and the terms that describe them.
