Three Reasons We Should Communicate the Gospel

Paul the apostle was eager to preach the gospel of God concerning Jesus Christ our Lord not only because he was obligated by God to do so (v. 14), but also for at least the three additional reasons he offers in verse 16-17: (1) there is no shame in the gospel, (2) the gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, and (3) the righteousness of God is revealed in the gospel. My hope and prayer is that Paul’s well founded eagerness would be ours as well. These reasons will remain Paul’s reasons until we give them careful consideration ourselves. May you therefore consider each of these reasons and ask yourself if God would have them compel you to eagerly communicate the gospel to those whom He gives you opportunity to reach.
