Educating for Eternity
Until recently, Christianity was under fire at most universities because it was thought to be unscientific and consequently untrue. Today, Christianity is widely rejected merely because it claims to be true. Increasingly, academics regard anyone claiming to know truth as intolerant and arrogant. What accounts for this bizarre and growing consensus? It is called post-modernism. Post-modernism was first coined in the 1930 but did not gain widespread usage until the 1970's to describe architecture and philosophy then broader cultural phenomenon. Postmodern thinking is a reaction against modernism as well as a transition into a new epoch. You may not be able to define it, but it affects our world in a huge way. Let's try to understand it and then address it Biblically.
