Those nearest to the heart of Christ imitate the habits
of Chist, especially the habit of His practical servanthood.

What was Jesus doing with a basin and a towel?

The scripture speaks, vs. 1-17

Thought on the ministry of the towel:

Jesus unapologetically calls everyone of His followers
to servanthood.

• It was practical service.
• It was purposeful service.
• It was powerful service.
• It was productive service. (v. 17).

In contrast to Christ, some live at the deep end of the
self-gratification pool - Solomon

• Ecclestiastes 2

Application:

1. Make a commitment to be a towel bearer.

2. You don't have to look for this kind of ministry
   opportunity - it will find you.

3. Take your eyes off of self and put on the mind of Christ.

4. Focus your attention on the undone things - the things you
   have expected others to do.
