Spurgeon comes from a line of preachers and a godly home. His description of how it was in his youth at home will bring conviction to all but the godliest among us. Praying mother. Preaching father. Both united in raising this boy in the fear of God. Spurgeon then tells of some preachers he was privileged - or not - to hear as a boy.
