Christ's Priesthood Brought the Better Hope

Following a series of arguments showing the necessity of setting aside the priesthood practiced by tribe of Levi and supported by the Law, the apostle declared only the priesthood of Jesus Christ could justify. He called this "the Better Hope". It was infinitely better because it was completely effectual. He declared: by it we "draw near to God". Paul wrote, "Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Colossians 1:27).
