Abram's Faithlessness with Hagar

After God established His covenant with Abram, the next episode in the latter's life involved the promise that he would have a descendant from his own body. Sarai -- barren, getting older, and mindful of the impossibility she could give her husband what God had promised him -- broke first. Abram then failed to lead. They both involved Hagar. God then had to step in, by grace.
