Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God

Grace comes after God's judgment.
Because of idol worship, God's people were dispersed. Because they spurned their savior, God scourged them. Because they rebelled, God sent the wind of the Lord upon them. But thanks be to God we live on this side of the cross where we see that if Christ be lifted up, he will draw all men to himself. Jesus took the scourging we deserved. And the wind of the Lord blows power and salvation into the church instead of death and destruction.
