Christ as the Lord and Head of His Church has given to His visible people the ministry of the Gospel, the Word of God, the Sacraments, and a government to carry out that mission. Together, the officers and the people must guard against interference and intrusions that would presume to dethrone Christ of His right as the sole administrator of His spiritual Kingdom.
