Prayer, Prophecy, and Prisoners

King Zedekiah, like his brother King Jehoiakim, didn't care about God's Word. Until the Babylonians were knocking on the door! Then he asked the prophet Jeremiah to pray for him. He hoped that when the Babylonians went away, that was it - but God told him otherwise. And when Jeremiah was in prison, Zedekiah revealed that he was in a different sort of prison - the prison fear of man makes in the heart.
