Philippians is countercultural. It is a letter disseminated in one of Rome's prized colonies and it strikes at the heart of Roman values. Rome will fall while Christianity endures. There is only one Lord, and He is not Caesar. This introductory study is first in a two-part study on the characteristics of the Philippian church.
