Christ the Surety

How is Christ the Surety for sinners? How do the psalms depict the work that He would had to accomplish as the sinner's surety, that God might be just to justify those He gave to His Son from eternity? How is His work sure as the Surety? How does the Christ of Scripture differ from the popular 'jesus' that men preach today whereby they preach that there are those in hell for whom Christ died.
