Jesus Told Peter of His Future Service

Having caused Peter to examine his heart with probing questions about love, Jesus turned to the future. Reminding Peter of his liberty in early life, the Lord told Peter that it would be surrendered for the sake the gospel. Jesus prophesied, an executioner would bind Peter and out his hands for death by crucifixion. Yes, Peter vacillated at times, but in the end he was a model of faithfulness.
