In Christ Jesus we are

25

While joy is the central theme in the book of Philippians, the basis for this joy is found in Christ Jesus. And during the course of this letter the apostle establishes that not only do we having joy in Jesus but a great many other things that help to build our joy. We find that in Christ Jesus we are equal. That He doesn't love one more than the other. That despite the fact there are different positions in the church body we are all equal in the eyes of God; that we are all servants of our lord. In Christ Jesus we are all in unity. That things that would seem to not go together are united in Christ Jesus. Grace and peace brought together in harmony in Christ Jesus in our lives. And also the fact that in Christ Jesus we are all wanted. He wants all to come to know Jesus as savior. Then once in Him we are wanted as every father should want his children. Even when we go astray He still wants us. No matter how far we go, no matter what we have done He wants us. To the point of that just the mention of your name, even if the person is not talking about you, He hears the name and is so grateful that you have been saved. That Jesus can call us brother or sister and God the Father can call us His child. Even if we have been down in the hog pit, in full desertion, He still wants us just as much as if we been on the front line the whole time. Because in Christ Jesus we are His.
