Sermon 5: Are you thirsty for life but fear the living water?

Having surveyed the massive hope and delight in the gospel, this sermon puts forward the critical question, "If the Bible’s hope of real salvation really is so great and wonderful, then why do so few people take hold of it? What is holding the addict from God’s solution?" The message uncovers three major deceptions existing in the fallen mind of the addict.

This is a series of 8 sermons preached at The Manger Care Centre in Benoni. It puts forward some biblical perspectives on addictions. In this series I leaned heavily on the work of the respected Dr. Edward T. Welch in his excellent book "Addictions—A Banquet in the Grave" (P&R).
